I had the honor of photographing Iris a couple of weeks ago. During our session she played on Grandma’s swing, played ball, danced, jumped on the bed, colored, played dress up and even got to eat a candy necklace. Just adorable!!! Iris is doing a great job being a super big sister to her new little brother.

New Orleans…

Filed under: Personal, Personal work — True Blue Photography @ 9:27 am

My best friend Traci asked me when Michael and I got engaged what I wanted to do for my ‘bachelorette’  party. Since I’m not too big into parties I told her that I wanted to spend a weekend hanging out with her in New Orleans. I’ve been dying to go for years and finally we did it. 😀 Mmmmm – I miss the beignets already.

Bourbon Street

Street Performers

Musicians – Steamboat Willie

The Royal Street Jug Band

Cool Old Cemeteries

And of course our one splurge… brunch at Commander’s Palace. Not only did the food look fantastic but it tasted amazing!

Traci bought this funky pair of ‘sunglasses’ made from forks from a shop on Royal Street. She’s going to use it has a head band instead but was kind enough to model them for me as sunglasses first. LOL

Summer Fun Special…

Filed under: Portraits, Specials — True Blue Photography @ 10:18 am

With summer on the way it seemed like a good time to roll out a Summer Fun Special. More sunshine, playing until the street lights come on, playing fetch with the dog, cherry popsicles, lemonade stands, riding bicycles, water balloons, slip & slides, laughing until it hurts… What a great time for portraits of your family, of the kids being kids, playing with their best friends or even you with your best friend. With this special you’ll get an album of your session too! Contact me by phone (see below for number) or email at to schedule your session.

Back in early 2005 I had the opportunity to work with a couple of models during a photography workshop in Puerto Vallarta Mexico.  Sharon (one of the models) and I got to know each other while taking a fun filled horse back ride through the jungle and kept in touch over the last couple of years. Sharon is not only a phenomenal model (and now actress) but she’s become a good friend too.

We got together one afternoon to catch up and for some new shots for both of our portfolios. We’ve still got a few ideas brewing for future shoots so tune in next time when Sharon and I get together with my trusty camera. 😉 Oh… and make sure to check out Sharon’s modeling website too.

The Vieira Family…

Filed under: Portraits — True Blue Photography @ 9:08 pm

Eighteen seems to be a magic number for family portraits lately as I met up with the Vieira Family at Heartwell Park in Long Beach for their extended family portraits. Mom & Dad were there along with their kids, the grand kids and even a great grandchild. 😀 I have to admit it’s pretty amazing to see four generations of family all in one place. 😀

The Walker Family…

Filed under: Portraits — True Blue Photography @ 9:04 pm

Just before the holidays I got a call… the Walker family would all be available for a family session. As luck would have it I had a last minute appointment available. We met up at El Dorado Park for this extended family of 18 (plus their sweetest lil Golden Retriever) to have their portraits done. After the big family portraits we got some individual family portraits. Then the kids got a little time to ‘horse’ around. 😀
