Katelyn turned five in February so we celebrated her big milestone with some new photos. Her mom Megeann and little brother Lucas helped out. We made her session fun by dancing to “Hey now, you’re a rock star”, jumping on the bed and playing ball. Kate had a little quiet time reading her diary and tucking her Care Bears in their beds before we finished up.

Three weeks after Zoa’s first session I was back at the McNulty family’s home for a session of the entire family. The boys are very helpful to their mom and dad and love their little sister very much. After photographing everyone together I took the boys out into the back yard for a little playtime.

Adriano’s mother brought him to the studio for some portraits dressed up in the cutest striped shirt and vest. Of course we couldn’t resist putting him au natural on a fuzzy rug for a few images as well. What an adorable little guy!!!

Zoa finally arrived after nine months of waiting by big brothers Bart, Timmy & Murphy. She’s an adorable and alert little one. Congrats on your new little sister boys!

I had the honor of photographing Iris a couple of weeks ago. During our session she played on Grandma’s swing, played ball, danced, jumped on the bed, colored, played dress up and even got to eat a candy necklace. Just adorable!!! Iris is doing a great job being a super big sister to her new little brother.

With summer on the way it seemed like a good time to roll out a Summer Fun Special. More sunshine, playing until the street lights come on, playing fetch with the dog, cherry popsicles, lemonade stands, riding bicycles, water balloons, slip & slides, laughing until it hurts… What a great time for portraits of your family, of the kids being kids, playing with their best friends or even you with your best friend. With this special you’ll get an album of your session too! Contact me by phone (see below for number) or email at info@truebluephotography.com to schedule your session.

Back in early 2005 I had the opportunity to work with a couple of models during a photography workshop in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. Sharon (one of the models) and I got to know each other while taking a fun filled horse back ride through the jungle and kept in touch over the last couple of years. Sharon is not only a phenomenal model (and now actress) but she’s become a good friend too.
We got together one afternoon to catch up and for some new shots for both of our portfolios. We’ve still got a few ideas brewing for future shoots so tune in next time when Sharon and I get together with my trusty camera.
Oh… and make sure to check out Sharon’s modeling website too.

Eighteen seems to be a magic number for family portraits lately as I met up with the Vieira Family at Heartwell Park in Long Beach for their extended family portraits. Mom & Dad were there along with their kids, the grand kids and even a great grandchild.
I have to admit it’s pretty amazing to see four generations of family all in one place.

Just before the holidays I got a call… the Walker family would all be available for a family session. As luck would have it I had a last minute appointment available. We met up at El Dorado Park for this extended family of 18 (plus their sweetest lil Golden Retriever) to have their portraits done. After the big family portraits we got some individual family portraits. Then the kids got a little time to ‘horse’ around.

Six Pack to go is a Long Beach based band with rockabilly roots. They recently had a gig at the Blue Cafe in Long Beach and asked me to come along and take a few photos. They played some great original songs as well as some killer covers. To find out more about Six Pack To Go and hear a little bit of their music - be sure to check out their MySpace page.
