Holiday Special…

With little William a month old and the holidays rapidly approaching, it was a good time to have family photos done. I met up with Melissa, Cameron, William and their pets for their session at their home in Whittier.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year already but it was time for my brother’s annual family portrait. We did last year’s portrait on the beach but opted to do their photos at El Dorado Park in Long Beach this time. Tanja’s brother Stephan and nephew Tyler joined us as well for an extended family portrait. Chris and Thomas had a skate boarding lesson while Madison and Tyler played on the playground.

I met the Girard Family down at the San Clemente Pier for their session. Dad Cory and CJ hung out and played on the swings while mom Nicole and Kanoa got their toes wet. Kanoa was absolutely mesmerized by the bubbles left on the sand after the waves rolled back out. We had a brief break while CJ watched the Amtrak Surfliner go by.

I met up with the Woodward family at their home for a holiday portrait session. After photographing the family together, I captured them just horsing around. Dad had to head back to work so I had a little fun with Mom and the kids. Allison showed me her rock collection and Michael showed me his Build-A-Bear then the kids celebrated with a cookie while Sydney (their dog) watched.

Alicia and Joe came to my studio for some maternity portraits. With about a month to go, Alicia was absolutely radiant. We did a few photos in the studio then headed across the street to Hartwell Park for the rest of the session. I can’t wait to meet their new bundle of joy.

Newlyweds Katie and Eric found me on The Knot and hired me to do their holiday portrait. These two were so cute and obviously in love and their session was very fun.

I photographed the Piper’s engagement and wedding many years ago and now I’ve been photographing their family annually. We did two sessions this year - one on the beach and one at El Dorado Park in Long Beach. As a photographer you often need to be flexible with babies and this was one of those times. Little Emily wasn’t feeling very well for the beach session so after getting a few photos, we thought it would be best to continue on another day when she was better rested. Natalie had a great time during both sessions and was a perfect big sister.

I’ve been photographing Lindsay and her mother PJ for their annual holiday portrait for many years. Lindsay arrived sporting a new hair cut and PJ was looking better than ever. I think this is a great tradition for the Marksbury ladies. Don’t you?

Angie and Bob drove down from the Valley to have their portraits done at the beach. A huge change from prior years when they included the entire family… they decided to make this year’s session and holiday card all about them. Especially appropriate since they just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary. They had no problem getting cozy for their photos and when we were finished, they headed off to a local pub for a celebratory drink.
