I met April last year when she came in to do a special portrait session for her hubby Scott. 10 weeks pregnant at the time, I had no idea that we’d become fast friend and that I’d be documenting her pregnancy as well as their daughter Raelyn’s first year. We met at the studio to start their session and ended up at the beach for a little fun. I can’t wait to see this little one grow.

Denise wanted to bring in her new bundle of joy, Edgar, for some newborn pictures! Edgar was as cute as a button. We took some classic nude baby shots and some with mommy!! Congratulations Denise… wishing you the best with Edgar!

The Mark family… Renata wanted to do a maternity session to celebrate the new life that will be joining their family. We started out at Dog Beach in Long Beach with her husband, son and their cute dog. Next we went to Recreation park and had a great time walking around the park getting some great family shots!! Wishing their family all the best with their new addition to the family!

Brittini and her husband wanted to capture this joyous time in their life. Brittini’s husband who is in the military came home special just to take these pictures… how sweet! We went to Seal Beach and got some beautiful images of Brittini and her baby bump. Wishing them all the happiness with their little bundle of joy!

Little Jacob made his grand entrance just a bit early. His mom Teresa is loving having time with her little man. He’s such a good baby. Her kitties are enjoying the new man of the house – Dodger even posed with Jacob a bit. I can’t wait until his next session to see how this little guy has grown.

June and Elmo are getting married this summer so we got together to do their engagement photos last week. We started our day at the beach where we did some really cute couple pics as well as some with their daughter Hayden. Auntie Ashley was along to hang out, have some fun and keep Hayden entertained. Our next stop was a strawberry stand – Yummy! Then off to lunch at Legend’s in Belmont Shore. Since Elmo loves planes, our final stop of the day was to the Long Beach Airport where we’d gotten clearance (and an escort) out on to the outer edges of the runway – all the way around the airport. VERY cool! We even got to stop and do photos with vintage planes in the images. Special Thanks to Traci and Greg at Jet Blue who made our airport adventure possible.
I can’t wait for these two to get married – it’s going to be amazing!

Richard and his sons Greg & Dan hadn’t taken a family picture in a while and thought it would be nice to have current photos before Dan went off to the army. Dan’s sweetie, Janelle wanted some too as she would be missing him when he’s gone. We had a great time with their session!!

Mike and Tina got married at Tivoli-Too in Newport Beach on a gorgeous April day. They started out their day at the Surf and Sand Resort getting ready for the big event. They had a bit of a rough morning that included the closure of several miles of Pacific Coast Highway and Tina’s makeup artist canceling at the last minute. Thankfully two makeup artists arrived to save the day and PCH opened up enough to allow the bridal party to get to the hotel. Having gotten all their wedding day drama out of the way, the rest of the day was amazingly perfect. Congrats Mike and Tina!

Just a few short weeks after Rylee’s birth, the whole family came into the studio for their first official portraits.

When Aryn of Equine Avenue and her students asked me to come out to the Hummingbird’s Nest Ranch in Simi Valley to photograph them with their horses, I had no idea what was in store for me. I can honestly say that I’ve never been in a barn with chandeliers before. It is truly an amazing place and the girls had a fabulous time hacking and jumping on the grass course.
